It is helpful to understand the Dua for Istikhara. Istikhara includes translation. We practice Istikhara when we encounter difficulties without the power to make a choice. Dua for Istikhara is the most effective way to seek divine guidance on disputable issues, but only if you have the right mindset. It is essential to ensure that the problem that we will do Istikhara must be legal by Sharia. Istikhara is a prayer that Istikhara is offered in addition to other required prayers. Usually, it is based on two Rakat that is provided following the practice of Wudu. After making the two Rakah prayers, it is recommended to pray and offer Dua to Istikhara and be hopeful for the blessings of Allah All-Powerful.

The best method for seeking divine help is for hundreds of Muslims to perform Istkhara daily in crucial matters.

There is a famous Hadith about Istikhara in volume 2 of Bukhari.

Hadith No 263,

Jabir Bin Abdullah stated Prophet Muhammad PBUH used instructed us on the manner of praying Istikhara the same way he taught us about any aspect of the Holy Quran. If you want to perform any task (with the proper mental attitude), you must complete two Rakah prayers in addition to the obligatory prayers. Then, say Istikhara’s Dua for Istikhara.’

How do you do, Istikhara?

It is valuable to comprehend how to accomplish Salat al Istikhara and Dua. The procedure for performing Itikhara is as follows.

The first step is to do ablution and ensure that all of the necessary parts of our bodies are washed the same way we would in our customary mandatory prayers. This prayer Istikhara is founded on two Rakah that we are required to give. However, the way to perform these Rakah differs from the other Rakah, such as it is recommended to Surah Kafirun immediately following Surah Fatih during the initial Rakah and, similarly, in the second Rakah, it is recommended to be reciting Surah Ikhlas following the repetition of Surah Fatih. The rest of the method is similar to that of another blessing. Following the final salute, we are required to recite this prayer. It was recorded by the Hadith recorded by Jabir Bin Abdullah in Bukhari’s book. Bukhari, Hadith no 26

Dua for Istikhara

Dua in English

Istikhara Dua’s English translation is as follows.

Dua for Istikhara

It’s a vast dua that encompasses every aspect. We are obligated as religious people to seek guidance from Allah Almighty. And any instructions that he may give us, we must act by it.

There are some myths associated with prayers, like Istikhara. For instance,

Slat from Istikhar is the only prayer we could make to get married.

One of the most common misconceptions is that it is the sole wedding prayer, but it is the opposite. According to the Hadith from the Prophet PBUH, which we discussed earlier, when an issue viewed with the right mental attitude results in no happiness in mind, we need Allah’s assistance by praying the prayers of Istikhara. Therefore the Hadith shows that it is not just the one who pays for marriage, and we can get help with any legal issue we face worldwide.

It’s for the big picture and not just for trivial matters.

We are Muslims and must seek assistance with any issue from Allah All-powerful. Allah is pleased when people seek advice from him. In the same way, Allah is discontent with those who don’t seek advice from Allah All-powerful. Prayer of Istikhara is for all your thing, no matter the number of issues, no matter how long or short. We can take assistance from Allah Almighty since Allah is the one who manages the world’s affairs, and no one can compare with his powers. There’s a Hadith concerning prayers like Istikhara, which means it was confirmed by the Prophet Muhammad PBUH.

Inviting others to take on Istikhara.

We have seen many times in the advertisements of newspapers of the Muslim countries that certain people are willing to offer prayers of Istikhara in exchange for payment for it. This doesn’t seem right; we do not have such an example throughout the time of Islam, especially in the period of the Prophet PBUH or the caliph RA. We are all aware it is true that Allah Almighty also helps those who don’t acknowledge his power over all things. It is not a good idea to ask people to do Istikhara, and it also violates God’s favor to Allah Almighty over those who perform it. So, we must completely stay clear of it.

The will of Allah Almighty appears in the form of a dream.

It’s one of the biggest myths regarding Dua for Istikhara. It is believed that Allah’s willingness to act Almighty is in the form of a dream. However, the truth lies in that Allah Almighty gives you powers to perform any act that he is willing to do and that Allah Almighty may cause a task to be difficult enough to us that we wouldn’t even imagine doing it.

If we need assistance and guidance from Allah Allah Almighty in a specific legal issue, we must give the following Dua right away.

Dua no 1

Dua in the Arabic language

‘ Astagfirullaha fee jamee a aumoooori kuliha khairataan fee aafia .’

We must repeat this Dua, which can assist us in receiving divine guidance from Allah Almighty. In reality, Allah is the owner of all the Universe and is the sole one responsible for the entire affairs of the Universe, and he doesn’t require assistance since he is the sole source of powers and authority. We are fortunate that Allah assists us in completing our assigned tasks.

Dua no 2

Allahuma silla Alla Muhammad wa aala Muhammad

It is important to remember the work we wish to complete and then recite Darood Shareef above after the prayer required to Istikhara.

It’s brief, making it easy to remember. Allah delights in those who seek help from Allah Almighty due to the reality, which demonstrates Allah’s power over all other matters in the world. People who do not need assistance from Allah Almighty will not succeed in securing Allah’s pleasure. The recitation of the following Darood Shareif near the conclusion of the Istikhara Dua can be very beneficial in accomplishing the difficult task.

Dua no 3

‘ Allahuma inee tafa altu bikitaa bika wat aa wakul to alika faa ari nee miin kitabika maa hoaa maktoobon min sirakal maknoona fee aiiineeka. ‘

It could also refer to the Dua that we repeat at the conclusion in the prayers of istikhara that can help accomplish the tasks. Allah’s assistance will only come when someone has the correct mindset. For instance, the motive behind performing the job is not to cause harm to someone. Allah will assist those who seek assistance from Allah since Allah is the most efficient person to manage matters. We must seek aid from Allah with the best intentions. It is inconceivable to imagine that Allah would not be able to help us.

Dua no 4

‘ in kaana fee qazaika Wa qarika in tumnaa ala jameeain aala Muhammad bafarrjiin wa laika wa hujataka aalla khulqika faaakrij aleeena aayattim min kitabbika nastadilo bihaa aala zaalika..’

We must also do this Dua after the Istikhara prayer, narrated by Hadith that Jabir Bin Abdullah RA compiled. We are fortunate to know that Allah assists people who don’t believe in his power. It’s a beautiful opportunity to gain the assistance of Allah Almighty by praying this Dua.

These are a few other duas we can recite to seek the blessings of Allah All-Powerful. It is, however, necessary to repeat the Dua specifically to serve the Istikhara for the purpose.

In the absence of a response to Allah the Almighty?

We are all aware that Allah is the only one who knows everything that happens in the Universe. Or, these things are either hidden or are apparent. It is characteristic of a person who is eager to complete everything in minutes, and it is impossible to sit around waiting. In the same way, when a Muslim prays and offers Dua at the conclusion, the intention is for his Dua to be accepted by Allah Almighty shortly; however, on the opposite, Allah knows well what choice is the best for the individual since Allah is the master of all the matters within the Universe. He makes the right choice regarding the timing, the purpose, and many other factors.

We believe this could be the absence of any reply from Allah’s Almighty.

Similar to that, when we offer Dua, it is required to raise our hands and then sit with etiquette. We must look into our hands when we give Dua to us. It is not advisable to turn our backs on the Sky since it’s an embarrassment to Allah Almighty, and Allah disapproves of the idea. It is also essential to keep in mind the idea that Allah will give us the things we require; however, we must be aware that when the possession of important items is not beneficial for us, Allah won’t be pleased with us. It is not a good idea to think that we’ve recited the Dua for Istkhara, and it won’t be the case that Allah will not bless us with what we need. Instead, we should put our decision to Allah all-powerful and then be content with the outcome.

Conclusion

However, it is essential to know that whatever we desire from Allah, He will grant us and not turn us down. Sometimes, possession of something that is required can be risky for us. Instead, we must remember what would be more beneficial for us, and he’ll pick that option.
